Ed began his career with the Department of Transportation doing highway and bridge design; then worked as a Structural Engineer for a large multi-discipline firm involved in industrial structures, heavy marine structures, and water/waster water treatment plants. Part of this time was spent as a Resident Engineer on several construction projects. Through these experiences, he gained a valuable perspective on both the design team management of large, complex projects and the realities of the construction process.

Ed joined the firm in 1977, and has been an integral part of the growth of the firm, becoming recognized not only in the Mid-Atlantic region but throughout the country as one of the premier structural engineering firms.

As CEO, Ed has overall responsibility for the management of the firm.  He will oversee the engineering and client services for all three of the firm’s locations, while providing leadership to all branch managers and department heads.

Ed’s personal passion and vision for the firm is to create a culture of awareness of both cost and constructability, without compromise of technical excellence. And by providing innovative structural solutions to complex architectural problems, help our Clients achieve their own vision.
