General Description:
Stroud, Pence & Associates, Ltd. ( SPA ) has offered consulting structural engineering services in the Mid Atlantic area since 1974. SPA has a staff of 21 structural engineers with experience ranging from one to thirty four years, and is licensed in most of the Eastern half states of the United States.

The firm offers design and construction administration services in the fields of schools K-12, universities, commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, municipal and residential buildings, parking structures, waterfront structures, and water and wastewater treatment structures. Other services include investigations of structural failures or accidents, feasibility studies, and design of special structures and foundations. Projects are located throughout the eastern United States, as well as Department of Defense projects in the Latin Americas, Caribbean, and Europe. SPA has been responsible for the design of buildings and other structures at a rate of over $800 million in construction value per year over the past several years, and currently around one billion dollars per year. SPA's structural engineering services are provided to state, local and municipal governments, Department of Defense, architects, owners, developers, contractors, and other engineering firms.

The principals of SPA are widely recognized national leaders in the field of risk management and quality control of construction documents, and the construction process. In addition to extensive engineering analysis and design software capabilities, the firm has in-house computer capabilities to provide specifications in Specsintact and Masterspec Word formats, cost estimates in CES, MCASES GOLD, SUCCESS/WBS and Excel formats, and drawings in Revit Structure 2009 and AutoCAD/Architecture 2009.
